Workplace Bullying

Workplace bullying is an epidemic that is sweeping the world and costing corporate companies millions of dollars a year in lost earnings and human capital due to employees unable to perform and other related reasons. So the golden question on every so called experts lips as to why this is allowed to happen? The answer is rather obvious but the solution not so easy. Now listen people, no amount of qualitative nor quantitative analysis in this instance will help here, because our experts even those responsible for stopping such horrific acts of brutality the HR departments of the world. You already know it, yet so blatantly deny it, it's FEAR! yes! fear of the ramifications involved should you intervene especially when the involved parties are the supposed law-makers themselves the very power of governance, so in our example that would be the senior managers. So what do we do? fear is evil in it's own right it drives us to do things or not do things, the fear of getting into trouble for stepping in or as the saying goes, "do not bite the hand that feeds you". Well people, this is understandable but totally unacceptable at the same time. Ethics is a big part of the future of the world and I guess this is why our planet is in so much trouble because of all the unethical acts allowed to happen and good people with power doing nothing. I will leave you with this thought, that what if you had the power to do something, yet you were afraid of the consequences that may be brought down should you intervene and stop such atrocities unfolding, the poor soul experiencing the torment of workplace abuse be it a person of color or because of one's gender or sexual preference. Next time, you hesitate... think or the life that you could potentially save or the future you will allowed to be crushed. When you have the power to do the right thing. Would you still hesitate if it were a loved one? Or your own blood? opinions welcome.

The reality of life...

Hello all who is reading and wondering what this blog will entail. I have recently become interested in bettering the world and having been influenced by those around me, I will be looking into and discussing worldly issues that impact the lives of ordinary people and discuss my opinions and of those who I value who influence me on a daily basis. This blog is not about tales of heroism but just the truth of the bittersweet journey everyone embarks on, the journey through life and the world we live in. The sad truth is the world can be a very sad place at times and inhumane acts allowed by people with power, good and bad. Yet, it is those with the power to change things are the true culprits when they do nothing at all, or turn a blind eye to the dark-side of society, hoping that another will take up arms and make a difference for them. This is unacceptable, and I am sick of bearing witness to such acts on a daily basis. We read about it in the paper on the Internet and watch it in the news, changes need to happen. Governments need to make decisions, line and boundaries must be drawn, now is the time to fight and help pave a way toward a brighter future, less we abandon tomorrow and dreams of the future generations. Please check back every now and again for updates to this blog and also feel free to bookmark and add comments to the posts. Your feedback is very much appreciated and here's to a brighter future.
